Halloween 2011
Happy Halloween
Thriller Style.....
Rebecca
Jayden and Randy
Jayden
Randy and his coworker, Lindsay, who dressed up as Russell from the movie "Up".
Mckelsie decided at the last minute to dress up....so we pulled together a pirate costume.
We'll see how long it lasts!
Mckelsie stayed home with Randy and I passing out candy. She absolutely LOVED it and was so happy!!! She kept track of how many treaters we had.... 155! WOW! Jayden went with his friend Olivia and her parents trick-or-treating and came back happy as well!
Successful Halloween!

Classroom Visitor
Jayden's teacher brought her snake to visit the kids at school!
Jayden was so excited about it and now wants to get one
of his own!!!! Thank you Mrs. Dinh!!!!!
Volcano...Experiment
Ok, so it didn't really turn out with "red" lava (more like orangish.....yellow) but Jayden
loved being able to do it. He'd been bugging me for over a week, we had finally gotten
all of the material (poster board, empty bottle, baking soda, food coloring, vinegar....)
and Jayden had painted the volcano. I guessed I should let him make it explode.
He thought it was the coolest thing ever! We video taped it and he's now begging me
to figure out how to put it on You Tube (not sure if we want to do that...).
Jayden's teacher this year has been so involved with technology and science experiments
that it's got him wanting to do all of it at home too! I'm not complaining a bit though
cause he's totally LOVING IT! Thank you Mrs. Dinh!
West High School Football
West High Football!
We went to West's football game last night
and had so much fun! Mckelsie was adorable to watch
get into it. She was so excited to be able to cheer for "her"
school. She would stomp the bleacher and raise her hands in the air
and yell, "YEAH!". Jayden was a little sick so probably didn't
have as much fun as the rest of us. It was cold but worth it.
Randy always has good ideas!!

Thought:
"A good friend is a connection to life -
a tie to the past,
a road to the future,
the key to sanity in a totally insane world."

Snowbird 2011
We were fortunate enough to be able to enjoy a weekend away up at Snowbird with Randy and his kids. It was so beautiful up there...the leaves were as wonderful as I've ever seen them. Randy had the room for a full week and so last night, being the last night available, we went up and the mountains were covered in snow from our recent storm. The first snow storm of the winter season (I can wait a really long time for it here in the valley's). The view this morning on the way to school and work was breath taking, even though the picture below doesn't capture the beauty.
