Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Ogden Train Station
Well, we saw planes (little ones, remote control ones), trains (real life full sized trains) and drove in my automobile. We're going to have to go back to the Ogden Train Station some time...there's alot to see and isn't that expensive. The kids loved playing on the trains and climbed on the very top. They're lucky they didn't fall off!!

Talent Show

Seminary Talent Show
Mckelsie sang with her friend Brittnay Cook in the Seminary Talent Show and also volunteered to bring 50 cupcakes..... yeah....50! I took a long lunch from work so that I could attend. I met my mom for a quick bite to eat and then she went with me to the show. It was really fun to hang out with my mom and have her be there with me. I am so blessed to have her as my mom!
I am reminded how lucky, how blessed I am to have Mckelsie in my life especially at times such as this. She was the prettiest girl there....and I'm only a little bit prejudice. I sat watching these precious kids, both special ed and regular ed and my heart was touched. I just can't express in words how wonderful it is to see someone treat your child with respect, nurturing and love. Amazingly beautiful! My cup runneth over......

Thoughts....

“God bless the broken road that led me straight to you. “
Heard this line in a song on a country music station.Reinforced my long time thinking that broken plans don’t have to break our spirit.Reminded me to honor what is happening even if it doesn’t honor what I thought should be happening.Sometimes broken plans are all part of the plan.Amen.

“Don’t cry because it’s over; smile because it happened.”- Dr. Seuss
I think this might be the best emotional advice for what we can’t get over, or won’t get over, and should be smiling over.Sometimes we have to cherish the past because it is past.Sometimes we have to give up sadness for what didn’t work and smile at the work it gave us.Pray less please and more thank you.

Thought:

There comes a time in life, when you walk away from all the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good.
So love the people who treat you right,
pray for the ones who don't.
Life is too short to be anything but happy.
Falling down is a part of life,
getting back up is living.
