We had a sleep over with Dan and Janets kids...it was really fun and I was really

All Worth It Moments:

A conversation with Mckelsie this morning:

Mckelsie: Why do people have, ya know that "s" word?

Mom: Sex?

Mckelsie: Yeah....

Mom: Well, because it feels good and it's a way to show affection or love to the other person. It's also the way we have babies. It's a very special thing and is always best to wait until your married because it is so special.

Mckelsie: I just think it's weird and gross!

Mom: Good answer honey....good answer. It kind of is.

Words of Wisdom

"Don't settle for cheap imitations in life, or for cheap imitations themselves. When you see your children look at you now and in years to come, imagine the man that you would want to have by your side, if any, and find that man and nothing short. The man you imagine is only a fraction of what you deserve, because your mind settles for less than your heart is willing to give."

My Thought...

My children, I cannot wait to witness the people they turn out to be, all grown up. As their mother, it isn't my job to force them or judge them or control their every decision. It is my job to guide them and teach them and love them unconditionally. They are going to grow up and become their own individual, unique, perhaps a little quirky and just wonderful best. They most definitely will grow to believe differently than I do about various aspects of life and feel the world around them differently than I do. For that braveness, to think on their own accord, is the reason I'll love them forever. Just because....

Movie: "What Dreams May Come"

I saw this movie many years ago and was just reminded of it the other day. It's now in my Netflix que. It's a deep thinking movie, so yep, my kind of movie.

Quotes:

Albert:Each of us has an instinct that there is a natural order to our journey. And Annie's violated that. She won't face it. She won't realize, accept, what she's done. And she will spend eternity playing that out.
Chris: You're still saying she's in Hell...
Albert: Everyone's Hell is different. It's not all fire and pain. The real Hell is your life gone wrong.

-----------

Annie: So you reconciled. That's very romantic. But she still killed herself. In the end she gave up.
Chris: There's nothing wrong with that.
Annie: Her husband didn't think so.
Chris: He was a coward! Being strong, not giving up, it was just his place to hide. He pushed away the pain so hard he disconnected himself from the person he loved most. [pause] Sometimes when you win, you lose.

-----------

Leona: Where were you just now? Your mind's been wondering all afternoon.
Chris: Thinking of someone.
Leona: Your wife must have loved her children very much.
Chris: Very much. But you don't have to break in half to love someone.

Thoughts:

"Success is not final
Failure is not fatal
It is the courage to continue
That counts."
~Winston Churchill

So cute...

I just saw the cutest thing while driving home.

Picture this: A dad, dressed in a suit and tie walking home from church with his son who was about five or six years old. The dad started walking backwards so the little boy did, then they walked side ways, then they were turning in circles, then they lifted their legs way up in the air infront of them. As I drove by I could hear the dad saying the the little boy, "Ok, now a big smiley face and lift your legs in front of you".

How cute is that!?!
